Lime essential oil has a wide variety of uses in the body care, culinary and cleaning products industries. It is commonly used in the beverage industry as a flavoring for a fresh, citrus taste. Similar to lemon essential oil, it contains a high percentage of limonene, a liquid terpene, which makes for a wonderful household cleaning agent. It is also added to soaps, creams, lotions, lip balms, facial toner and cleansers for its uplifting aroma and purifying properties.

Lime essential oil is very similar to lemon essential oils as it is known to provide energizing, uplifting and balancing properties. It also has cleansing and purifying properties.
