The Tarrazu region in Costa Rica has perfect growing conditions with its rich volcanic soil and a well-defined climate pattern that brings the berries uniformity in ripeness. Tarrazu region gives us coffee with sweet, floral flavors and spicy fragrance. The coffee tends to have a lively acidity and balanced body.

Medium roast saves coffee’s acidity and floral notes while adding some sweetness and even delicate chocolate hints, and that is what gives coffee its balance. Wet processing also contributes to coffee’s sweetness and acidity.

Costa Rica Tarrazu is a specialty coffee. It means that its beans are of the highest grade and have outstanding characteristics. The secret is that the coffee is grown at high altitudes. In these unfriendly conditions coffee trees are fighting for survival thus giving all the juices to berries. High altitude also slows down the process of ripening, giving the coffee its sweetness.
